Transcend to Showcase Embedded Solutions at the Embedded World 2017

2017/03/01
For the seventh time in a row, Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend®) is participating at the embedded world and will be present at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center from 14 to 16 March 2017. In Hall 3A at booth 3A-211, visitors will not only find a broad portfolio of proven embedded storage solutions, but also some new products. This year’s highlights include Transcend's complete SuperMLC product series, which combines the performance advantages of SLC with the cost advantage of MLC flash memory, as well as an M.2 SSD with PCIe interface and 3D MLC NAND Flash.

Extensive Product Range with Versatile Applications
Transcend's product portfolio includes Solid State Drives, DRAM memory modules, SD cards, USB flash drives and DOMs in a variety of form factors and variants for use in embedded applications. To ensure enhanced durability and prolonged endurance, all products undergo rigorous reliability testing and are available with an extended temperature range. Thus stable operation can be ensured even under demanding environmental conditions. Thanks to their long life and high compatibility and reliability, Transcend products are perfect for use in the following applications: POS / POI terminals, onboard entertainment systems, game machines, barcode scanners, medical technology, set-top boxes, monitoring systems, and others.

Customized Services & Live Demos
In order to better meet the needs of different industries, Transcend also offers a wide range of customized services. These range from solutions with optimized firmware, preloading of content and OEM / ODM services, as well as AES hardware encryption, conformal coating, underfilling, tailor-made stickers, logos and packaging. In addition, Transcend shows two other customization options as live demos. Remote monitoring allows the user to monitor the S.M.A.R.T. values from SSDs of a client computer that is used somewhere in the world. This enables the system administrator to keep an eye on the health of the SSD and to take appropriate action if necessary. Hardware purge allows users to permanently erase their data on the SSD. The process is safer than software-based erasure methods and returns the SSD to its original state of manufacture.
