Take Transcend's Compact Flash Card as an example. Please check the interface (IDE or PCMCIA interface) of your system if you want to use the CF card as a bootable disk. Currently, among the Transcend CF (Compact Flash) card series, only industrial CF card series, such as CF200I, CF300 and CF170 can be used as bootable disks under PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) interface. Other types of CF cards cannot be used as bootable disks under PCMCIA interface. PCMCIA is a commonly used interface in computer peripherals, card readers, cameras and PDAs.
